Amit Chawhan, member of St James Marathi Community will be licensed by Rt Revd David Walker, the diocesan bishop this Sunday at 3.30 pm. This means that Amit will be a 'Reader' in the Church of England and as such is 'officially' able to preach, lead worship and take other leadership roles as part of our team in Moss Side and Whalley Range. Do pray for Amit as he begins this ministry and for his family too - his wife Madhuri and children, Kshitij, and Anushka.
