Ecobricks project featured in the M.E.N.

Our Ecobrick project is gaining momentum with a news story in today's Manchester Evening News. Follow this link to read all about it

We also have a collection partnership with a zero waste shop in Withington called Lentils and Lather https://www.lentilsandlather.co.uk/

But we still need more Ecobricks making. Some tips we have found so far that may help are:

  • Cut the waste plastic into smaller, shredded pieces. They give a denser fill to the ecobrick.
  • As the ecobricks won't be weight bearing, the finished Ecobrick should weigh approx 400g
  • A knitting needle or wooden spoon make excellent 'sticks' to cram plastic into every part of the bottle.

Don't forget!

For our project we’d like 2 litre bottles filling please and pack the bottle tight and mix plastics as you go!
