Help a Refugee and share God’s Love by offering a Room

The Manchester Refugee Support Network is looking for rooms for refugees who just have been given legal Leave to Remain in the UK. Anyone offering a room in their house will receive approx. £250 per month (average amount of housing benefit) â€" more if some meals are provided.

Rooms are needed as people given Leave to Remain no longer get priority for housing. Once given Leave to Remain, they have max. 28 days (often much less) to find their own housing and a job. A number of them become homeless and women are particularly vulnerable.

The accommodation would be needed for up to 6 months until the person has found a job and housing. This is a wonderful way to help a neighbour in need, share God’s love, and learn about another culture.
